Espresso Corner.

Founded by James and Jackie in 2013, Espresso Corner became one of the town’s favourite speciality coffee shops. When they decided to let go of the reins and pursue other adventures, we saw an opportunity to continue their fabulous ethos and good work.

Located in the centre of Huddersfield on the corner of Wood Street and Kirkgate, the picture windows of the light flooded café overlook Market Square. Perfect for people watching.

The kooky old school desks, retro lighting, bike on the wall and Butler Sink full of enticing soft drinks please the design conscious customers.

Locals flock for Square Mile’s fruity Red Brick with its hazelnut, banoffee and apricot tasting notes. Guesting is the award-winning Bean Brothers’ coffees including their Derek blend, a beautifully balanced espresso combining Central American and African beans to create notes of Cocoa, Almond Biscotti and Apricot.  Also available is the popular decaf Dream Jeanie. Espresso, V60, Chemex, Aeropress and Cold Brew are all available. While sipping your favourite brew you can purchase bags of Square Miles’ Red Brick or choose from Bean Brothers’ single origins such as the Good Taste Award winner Captain’s Grog (infused with rum) or their award-winning blends Derek and Derek’s Darkside.

You will be tempted by the delicious cakes and pastries.  It will be hard to choose between the Morello Cherry Blondie or the Espresso Caramel Brownie. You can also stay for lunch and choose between freshly crafted sandwiches on artisan bread from a local bakery, or warming soups and toast.
